I'm looking to enter tournies with better players in the field (aside from the obvious MLP games of course...) & usually the more the entry, the better the field is...

I have accounts on most sites, and would pay around 20 bucks or so entry, so what site/tourny (MTT, sitngo, any game) is out there that is usually good ?   (nothing on Nordica, that's the worst merge site for me for bad beats...& of course, nothing from barfdog as they still are too scared of us Canadians to let us in...)

thanks for any replies...

if you're looking for SNG's, the $20 Rio - Jackpot Sit 'N' Go buy-ins on the Ipoker Network are good value and a decent standard.

top 3 pay and you get an accumulating jackpot for 6 wins at a minimum of $25,000 i think.

6 consecutive 1st or 2nd place finishes also gives you $300.

i used to play a lot of these and found it really improved my short handed game as well as proving fairly profitable.

.............................................................................

i don't play much anymore so i don't really know how most of the sites are running at that level these days, but i think you'll find in the bigger MTT's on the major sites, that theres still plenty of donkeys around unfortunately.

Also unfortunate that size does not matter.  $2 or $20, same bad play.

Well I kinda wanted to keep this to myself but.... as it's you pool    I found a fantastic $20 tourney on pokerstars. it's a deepstack on in the evenings ( bit late for me but hey) 5k starting chips and 30 minute blinds    Go find it!

Gotta agree, played in games from $1 up to $20 and some of the players are terrible in both. Normally you would expect the standard of play to improve as the games get higher but doesnt work out that way.

One thing i did tend to find out, ironically  in the higher games  I tend to more bad beats.

thanks all 4 the replies, the PS one does look interesting, as does the RIO, hate full tilt, more donkey's per sqaure inch there than any other site...

What I was more getting at, different sites have different games that are a good deal, a 2 buck sitngo over on Titan is usually better played than any other site for 2 bucks, switch over to the dirty dozen game same site, same entry, & you find more donks, but 4 places paid...

Party Poker has a shootout tournament, no matter how many players, you are sat one table, goal is to be top 3 on that table, 3rd in first round gets your money back, next 2-3 rounds are gravy (4 total rounds like this max...)

full tilt has a 10 buck tourny, forget the name, they run 2 @ the same time & only played it a few times but cashed every time...

Doyles have a few mtts in range of 20-35$ that are ok.

I tried the 30k gtd 25+2$ buyin. Even tho this is a R/A tourny i was amazed about the quality of poker played. Maybe it was just an unusual day
