Hi 1hawgfan,
There's more to playing pocket K's than pushing all-in. I guess you had good reason to do that.
If you post the approx chip stacks of the players in the hand, the button and your table position, I'm sure many members will chip in with some good advice on how they would play them. _________________

| It was a a sit and go 10 player 6 players left short stacked and the BB had only 700 or so in chips and he didn't have much more. But it doesn't seam to matter if I'm big or short stacked I just can't win any way I play them. I just wish sometimes I never get them. I seam to do better playing other kind of hands. 1hawgfan Later |

Short stacked with KK you should push, the QJ call is one many will make short stacked too. (not a call I'd like to make myself) I guess you were just unlucky that time.
This thread had some interesting ideas on pocket pairs. _________________

Well if your talking about pocket pairs.. if its a sit and go if they are low or middle pair if its iin the early stages in the tourney i would just call or raise a little but enou so if you get re rasied you can fold....high pairs I try to push with but not go all in.. i think you want to have chips in the early stages.. like if you pushed hard with K.s and some boby called you with ace rag and ace came out.. dont be afraid to fold the kings..but late in the tourneys were there is less people I like to be more agreeive with PP.. but everyone has there own stragety and ideas.. but however you play them.... I would always try to to stick to the style that your used to... I still have my style but it has changed alot.. but I still play my way...if you decide to become a active member of this forum whether u play or posts.. u will learn alot I have.. _________________ Can you spare a medal? Playing pp pairs is never easy it takes experience, and the one thing so many players forget, it takes the ability to lay down a pocket pair no mater how big they are, when u can do that with out feeling like you lost ur mind you will start to understand how to play them and it is very hard to do.
Playing then short stacked is a nother game . _________________ Knowhen2
